Some of you have noticed cloudy water repeatedly the past few months while testing of the well has shown crystal clear water.  The Water Board believes this is due to dirt collecting in the transmission lines over time. The system is overdue for flushing the pipes.

The flushing is scheduled for this coming Wednesday and Thursday starting at about 11:00AM each day. So, please do not be alarmed if you see a flood of water down your roadway or ditch.  This is likely the flushing and not a ruptured pipe. (Although the coming cold snap on Sunday/Monday could freeze exposed above ground pipes!)

The flushing will lower our water tank levels temporarily on those days.  So please try to be frugal in your water usage those days. Thank you for your co-operation.

Once the flushing has occurred, you are advised to open a faucet and flush the line into your house as well.
